Paula Grauvogel, a sophomore at Auburn representing Germany, placed second in the women's pentathlon with a lifetime-best 4,011 points at the Southeastern Conference Indoor Championships at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark. Grauvogel ran 8.42 in the 60-meter hurdles, cleared 5-5 (1.65m) in the high jump, achieved a shot put of 36-5.75 (11.12m), had a leap of 19-4 (5.89m) in the long jump and ran a personal-best 2:24.59 in the 800 meters to become only the second Auburn female athlete in program history to surpass the 4,000-point barrier.
