Ashley Carter, a senior at Auburn, prevailed in the women's javelin throw at the Southeastern Conference Championships with a personal-best performance of 180-1 (54.90m) in the opening round at the Ole Miss Track and Field Complex in Oxford, Mississippi. Carter became the first Auburn female competitor to emerge victorious at the conference final since Kylee Carter, no relation, won the title in 2019.
