Joyce Kimeli, a senior at Auburn representing Kenya, won the first women's 3,000-meter steeplechase title in program history by clocking 9:49.13 at the Southeastern Conference Championships at Ole Miss Track and Field Complex in Oxford, Mississippi. It marked the first SEC crown for Kimeli since capturing the indoor 5,000-meter championship last year.
