Madi Malone, a junior at Auburn, secured eighth place in the women's hammer throw final with a first-round mark of 227-1 (69.22m) at the NCAA Division 1 Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Malone became the first Auburn female athlete in program history to earn All-America first-team honors in the hammer, along with achieving the top eighth-place mark all-time at the championship meet.
